I moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1985, but grew up in Des Moines, IA. Both my parents loved photography, and I can still picture my dad with his Nikon; shooting nature photos on canoe and hiking trips. Then mom got in the game. Her collection of canyon photos are stunning, and she captured the joy and spontaneity of the Bike Ride Across Iowa for many years. 

I’ve been taking pictures for over 3 decades myself. Favorite subjects include nature, food, kids, and pets. I’ve made a lot of products and participated in lots of events, but creating picture books has been the most challenging and rewarding thing I’ve ever done with my photos.
